New Zealand’s match schedule for FIFA World Cup 2026™ has been unveiled by FIFA president Gianni Infantino at an event in Washington, DC.
Drawn into Group G alongside Belgium, Egypt, and Iran, New Zealand will play two of their games in Vancouver, and one in Los Angeles.
They will open their campaign against Iran at SoFi Stadium, renamed Los Angeles Stadium for the World Cup, on Tuesday June 16 at 1PM (NZT). Los Angeles Stadium is scheduled to host eight matches at the tournament, is the home of two NFL clubs, and has a capacity of over 70,000.
Their final two group games will both be played at BC Place Vancouver, against Egypt on Monday 22nd June at 1PM NZT, and Belgium on Saturday 27th June at 3PM NZT, which has a capacity of around 55,000.
The match schedule means that New Zealand will play all three of their group games on the West Coast of North America.
All 104 FIFA World Cup matches have now been scheduled with venues and kick-off times and have been allocated to minimise travel for teams and fans, and to maximise rest days between matches for all participating teams. The match schedule has also been designed to aim to optimise welfare conditions for players and supporters, while enabling the widest possible global audience to follow their teams across different time zones.
