The OFC Pro League heads back to Melanesia for Round 4 of the OFC Pro League in Honiara, Solomon Islands.
Consisting of over 1,000 islands, the Solomon Islands are one of the most linguistically diverse nations in the world and feature incredible marine and animal life.
They’re also known for having one of the most passionate supporter bases in the Pacific – with football as the national sport – and big crowds are expected when it hosts its first professional football club, Solomon Kings FC.
The Kings have been the surprise package of the OFC Pro League, cementing themselves inside the top four, and will play in front of their fans for the first time when they host both Auckland FC and South Melbourne FC.
The eight clubs will play two matches during their stay in Honiara, with all eight matches to be played at the National Stadium.

Great moments in Solomon Islands football history

Oceania’s Futsal kings
Traditionally most of the Solomon Islands success has come on the futsal court, winning the OFC Futsal Men’s Cup seven times.
They’ve also appeared at the FIFA Futsal World Cup™ on four previous occasions, recording their only win at the event over Guatemala in 2012.
On the club scene, Kooline and Mataks FC have also won two of the three editions of the OFC Futsal Men’s Champions League since its inception in 2019.
Female continental champions for the first time

The Solomon Islands women’s national team made history in 2025 by winning the nation’s first continental crown at the OFC Women’s Nations Cup.
Having won just two matches from their previous three appearances at the event, they won four of their five fixtures at the tournament, and defeated Papua New Guinea 3-2 after extra-time in the final.
Solomon Islands stun Australia to reach OFC Nations Cup final

The Solomon Islands men’s national team achieved one of their most notable international results in 2004, drawing 2-2 with Australia at that year’s edition of the OFC Men’s Nations Cup hosted in Adelaide.
Two goals from Commins Menapi, helped them secure a share of the points with the Socceroos in their group stage clash, a result that sent the Solomon Islands to their first OFC Men’s Nations Cup final against the same team.
