The Oceania Football Confederation is saddened to learn of the passing of New Caledonian legend, Maxime Kenon.
The former captain of the US Gélima de Canala team was a star in the 1970s and 80s in New Caledonia.
OFC joins with the Fédération Calédonienne De Football in sending its condolences to Kenon’s family.
Kenon was captain of the US Gélima team that won the Caledonia Cup four times between 1977 and 1982 including three in a row, 1977, 78 and 79.
Maxime Kenon was interviewed during last year’s Caledonian Cup in Koné.
