Just four sides from a possible seven have been found, Mexico’s CF Monterrey for CONCACAF, German side FC Bayern Munich for UEFA, host side Raja Casablanca winners of the Moroccan Botola Pro League and Oceania’s champions Auckland City FC.
The opening match will be held at Agadir Stadium on 11 December where the five-time OFC champions Auckland City facing the hosts Raja Casablanca to progress through to the quarter-finals.
Three spots are still up for grabs in Morocco for the December tournament.
The winners of this year’s Copa Libertadores will fly the flag for South America. The competition is now down to the last four, with the two-legged final due to take place on 17 and 24 July.
In Asia, the team that emerges victorious over two legs from the AFC Champions League final on 25/26 October and 8/9 November will earn the right to represent the continent. That same week, on the 9 or 10 of November, the identity of the CAF Champions League winners – and by extension, the African representatives at the FIFA Club World Cup – will also become known.
