7′ The Solomons have dominated these opening exchanges and Tahiti have not been able to get out of their half very often

24′ Clarence Bonsley crosses from the right for the Solomons but the ball drifts harmlessly behind the goal
25′ Raramane tries to break the deadlock for the Solomons when he cuts inside after a flowing move and fires a shot from the edge of the area into the side netting
