Benfica 6–0 Auckland City

Auckland City showed early resolve, but Benfica’s quality shone through with six goals, including two late penalties from Ángel Di María. A weather delay just before halftime didn’t stop the Portuguese side’s rhythm as they coasted to victory. However the Oceania champions turned in a vastly improved showing following the 10-0 drubbing by Bayern Munich and young goalkeeper Nathan Garrow will surely have captured the attention of professional clubs. Auckland City FC have pride to play for in their final Group match against Boca Juniors.

Boca’s Miguel Merentiel equalised in the 66th minute, but Michael Olise restored the lead late with a composed finish. Flamengo 3–1 Chelsea

Chelsea took the lead early through Pedro Neto, but Flamengo responded in the second half with three goals in a dominant comeback, aided by a red card to Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson.

Bruno Henrique nodded in from a set-piece in the 62nd, and just three minutes later Danilo rifled in a go-ahead goal after Chelsea lost possession in midfield. The match turned further when Nicolas Jackson was shown a straight red card for a reckless challenge. Flamengo capitalised on the advantage, with Wallace Yan adding a third to cap off a stunning turnaround.

LAFC 0–1 Espérance de Tunis

A tight, physical battle in Nashville saw Espérance edge LAFC thanks to a composed finish from Youcef Belaili in the 70th minute. The Tunisian club were compact and disciplined, frustrating LAFC’s high-pressing game. Belaili struck after a clever break down the left, slotting past the goalkeeper with confidence.

LAFC pushed hard for an equaliser and were handed a lifeline late on with a penalty — but Denis Bouanga’s effort was brilliantly saved by Moez Ben Cherifia, sealing the three points for the North Africans.
