Mataks FC claimed a strong 12–5 win over Gulf Komara FC, in high scoring encounter at the OFC Futsal Men’s Champions League 2025.
Each team entered the match chasing their first win and the intensity showed early, with eight goals registered in the first half. Mataks created the first clear opening when broke down the left and squared to Charles Kiniole, who missed a close tap-in.
Both teams pushed up and down the court with pace but finishing let them down in the opening stages. A loose defensive moment from Komara gave Mataks captain Elis Mana the space to strike into an empty goal for the opener.
Moments later, Mataks hit again through a sharp counter down the left found Owen Bunabo in space, and he fed Eddie Kasute’e for a clean finish to make it.

Komara responded through Patrick Aisa, who showed composure to beat the keeper and cut the deficit. Calvin Do’oro struck from the right edge to extend the lead, before Charles Kiniole finished a quick transition to push the score to 4–1.
Mataks stayed in control with their cleaner touches and stronger movement in the front court. They added two through Charles Kiniole and Bunabo, before Komara grabbed a late consolation before half-time through Ashley Eric.
Komara came out from the break with a renewed energy creating several chances, desperate to score. Mataks composure stuck, with Charles Kiniole scoring his second from a quick counter move, and Elis Mana completing his hat-trick late with another goal to extend the score 8-3.
Both teams traded goals in the second half, as the intensity of the match grew. Elis Mana completed his hat-trick in the 35th minute, and adding his fourth to seal his side their first victory of the tournament.
