Rewa striker Iosefo Verevou and Nadi’s Samuela Drudru have joined their national teammates in camp after helping their families recovery from Cyclone Winston.
Farina says the goal is to lift performances ahead of the competition which is a major one on the Oceania calendar.
“Everyone wants to win the Nations Cup. Realistically our first goal is to play good football,” Farina says.
“Then we want to qualify for hte next round of the World Cup and that is the key for us.”
The Fiji U-23 players are also in camp alongside the national team at the Fiji Football Association headquarters in Vatuwaqa as they prepare for their tour to Brazil, and the Olympic Games.
He says visas are still being sought for next month’s tour but he’s confident they will get there.
“We are still in the process of organising visas but it needs to be done quickly.”
Farina adds that it is an incredibly busy period for football in Fiji but they’re managing it well and believe they can be competitive across the board.
“A lot of things are happening with the OFC Champions League on the cards as well. We will come back from the Brazil tour and then we will focus on the Nations Cup.
“In football anything can happen especially when you are playing 90 minutes of football. The most important thing is to have a good preparation and then play well.”
