Vodafone Ba stormed to a 4-0 victory against Suva at the National Stadium in a tense and aggressive New World National Football League Super Six encounter on the weekend.

The Men in Black, who have already qualified for the O League, were a far superior outfit against the hosts.

Ba coach Yogen Datt was satisfied with the performance in their third match in five days.

"The players needed to be reshuffled and they were tired," Datt said.

"However, they put in their best and did well. They played their hearts out."

Permal said they would have to work hard in the remaining games as Suva had shifted its focus to the Inter-District Competition.

Ba opened scoring in the 19th minute when striker Maciu Dunadamu scored after meeting a neat cross from Aisea Codro.

The visitors doubled their lead in the 35th minute when Rinal Prasad scored before Roneel Kumar made it 3-0 as the Suva defence was caught asleep.

Predictably, after half-time the match lost pace and structure, although Ba easily retained the upper hand.

Replacement striker Maveliko Nakama made it 4-0 in the 78th minute.

Nakama, the son of former Ba star Jo Basudra, beat the Suva defence with ease before slotting in the goal that forced tempers boil over once more.

Ba had earlier in the week beaten Labasa 3-2 and drew 1-1 with Nadi.

Elsewhere, midfielder Jesoni Takala was the centre of attraction as Rewa upset Lautoka 2-1 for its first win in the Super Six series.

Tekala scored the crucial winning goal for the Delta Tigers only to be sent-off moments later by no nonsense whistleblower Bobby Dave, who flashed the former Navua player a second yellow card for back chatting.

The Tigers fell behind early in the game when Jone Vono Junior scored after 45-seconds before tireless defender Lorima Dau equalised.

Lisala Vetaukula proved instrumental in attack to justify his late recall after being dropped from the team earlier.

Labasa beat Nadi 4-1 with Ni Vanuatu star Joseph Nimariau getting brace, while Nemani Rasiga and Roy Krishna also adding to the tally.

Eliki Ravosai scored a consolation for Nadi.

In the Bottom Four, a star-studded Navua side went on a scoring spree at Thomson Park, putting nine unanswered goals past a hapless Nasinu.

National team goalkeeper Simione Tamanisau played striker and top scored with a hat-trick.

Young Shonal Sharma grabbed a brace while Seveci Rokotakala, Epeli Saukuru, Thomas Vulivuli and Pranil Chand were on target as well.
